On the relations page the paycheck relation lets you type the take-home you want and solve for the salary, or fix the salary and solve for the take-home, with any filing status and pay period. Type a range like 4000~5000 for the take-home and you get a salary band instead of a single number.
How the reverse calculation works
Take-home pay rises with salary at every level, so for any target there is exactly one salary that produces it. The page brackets that salary between $0 and $5,000,000 and halves the interval until the paycheck engine's net pay matches the target to the cent. Because the forward engine applies the 2026 federal brackets, the Social Security wage base, additional Medicare, and Arizona's own rules, the reverse answer inherits all of them.
