Tip amount, total, and split per person.
How to calculate a tip
Multiply the bill by the tip percentage as a decimal. An 18% tip on a $50 bill is 50 x 0.18 = $9.00, for a total of $59.00. Splitting between friends means dividing that total by the number of people, and the calculator can round each person's share up so nobody is digging for coins.
